New Mills AFC Preview New Mills AFC Preview

MATCHDAY 9 PREVIEW

NEW MILLS AFC PREVIEW

Tomorrow evening we return to action at the ArkFleetech Stadium for the first time this season with a game v New Mills AFC KO7-45pm.

The visitors very much hold the upper hand in games against us, having played 8 league games and won 7 of them. A solitary league win for Chaddy back in February 2008 (3-1) being the only time we've got 3 points against the Derbyshire side. We haven't met New Mills in league duty since 2007/08 season when they completed a league double over us (1-3) (6-1) since then we've played them twice in cup football, losing an FA Cup tie 3-1 at their place in August 2010, but then gaining revenge by knocking them out of the Manchester Premier Cup at Andrew St by 2-0 in October 2010, which was the last time we played a competitive game against them.

This season New Mills AFC are playing 1st Division football after last season's relegation from the Premier Division. Currently, they lie in 11th place 4 points ahead of Chaddy. Their record so far reads P8 W4 D1 L3  At home the Millers have beaten St Helens Town (2-0) Eccleshall (3-1) Holker (7-2) and AFC Blackpool (4-1) They have drawn with Nelson (2-2) and been beaten by Atherton LR (1-4). On the road the Millers have been beaten at Sandbach United (3-0) and Stockport Town (6-1) Mark Howard and the lads will be sure to put in a strong performance on our return to the ArkFleetech Stadium, on the new pitch and under the new floodlights, as we welcome back Hallmark Security League football to OL9 and fight for 3 important points.

The other Mark.
